Planning in Waltham Forest
Waltham Forest determines applications. Walthamstow Village is a conservation area with an Article 4 direction, so front elevations, windows and roofs are controlled. In Chingford, houses near the Forest can be affected by green belt and Metropolitan Open Land designations, and mature trees are often protected.
